The Salinas Valley Fair Heritage Foundation would like to invite all active high school aged 4-H and FFA participants to apply for this year’s Heritage Foundation Scholarship and the chance to raise the 2024 Heritage Animal. Along with raising the Heritage Animal, the scholarship winner will receive a $2,500 scholarship (see requirements below) and several other rewards. We are also offering a $500 scholarship to the Reserve Winner (runner-up).
Basic requirements
Must be a Monterey County resident &/or be a Monterey County high school student who will be attending an accredited trade school, junior college, or university.
Must be willing to raise an animal for sale, with all proceeds benefiting the Salinas Valley Fair Heritage Foundation.
Must submit the scholarship application and three letters of recommendation by deadline stated in application and attend an in-person interview with the Scholarship Committee on a date to be determined.
Must be willing to act as an ambassador for the SVFHF through the upcoming Salinas Valley Fair.
